Isaac Navicare is a free service that helps connect people with mental health support across the Isaac region
“How do I know if I need help for my mental wellbeing?”
Navicare, a Wesley Research Institute initiative, consists of a physical hub located in the Moranbah Youth & Community Centre. It has a dedicated phone line for help-seekers and a Telehealth facility. The Navicare hub provides a wide variety of information on mental health and general wellbeing and is staffed by a Mental Health Care Navigator.
The role of the Care Navigator is to link help-seekers with all the supports they may need to improve their mental wellbeing. The Care Navigator can assist with referrals, making appointments with mental health care professionals, and providing a private space in which to access online mental health support from our online psychology partners.
The Care Navigator can also link you in with any other support services you require, including housing, employment and disability support, and a range of relationship counselling services.
Outside of its operating hours, help-seekers can still request support from the Care Navigator via the Navicare phone service, email, or website.
Isaac Navicare is not a crisis service.
If you require immediate support, please phone 000.
Mrs Kelly McGrath will provide much needed help-seeker support while promoting education and awareness of mental health services. Her role will assist with telehealth appointments, coordinate case management with providers, and link with local partners and networks.
