The Bridging Study Update

New Clermont Hub Location

In 2023, the team from The Bridging Study spoke with members of the Moranbah community and others in the Greater Whitsunday Region to determine the next site for the Navicare service. After considering a range of factors, Clermont was chosen as the newest site for the service.

The team visited Clermont in late 2023, and are currently consulting with members of the community to find the ideal space to house the service. In partnership with Wesley Research Institute and Beyond Blue, and supported by Greater Whitsunday Communities and Isaac Regional Council, as well as local care providers, we aim to support the implementation of this service in Clermont in the first half of 2024.

Ruth Tulleners (AusHSI, QUT), Keeley Ryan (Isaac Navicare), Zephanie Tyack (AusHSI, QUT), Bridget Abell (AusHSI, QUT), Andrew Barron (Wesley Research Institute), Dorne Wallace (Greater Whitsunday Communities), and Kelly McGrath (Isaac Navicare) attended the Clermont community consultation for The Bridging Study in November 2023.

The team are interested in hearing from members of the Clermont community about what they would like to see from this service to make it successful and sustainable – if you are interested in sharing your thoughts and ideas, please get in touch with us at Bridging.Study@qut.edu.au
