Moranbah Town Hall

Have your say on accessing and delivering mental health care in Isaac and surrounding areas

The Navicare mental health care navigation service was developed with the community in Moranbah in 2020 to increase access to mental health care services in the region. Researchers from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) are seeking input from local community members and mental health stakeholders to understand how this service might work in other regional communities in Queensland. This includes coming up with a list of potential sites for expansion of Navicare across the region.

This is called The Bridging Study, and follows on from the important work conducted in 2020.

People who have experience with the Navicare service, people with lived experience of mental health, service providers, educators, and any community members interested in mental health are invited to attend an interactive Town Hall meeting on June 2, 2023. Mental health needs of the community and the possible expansion of Navicare to other locations will be discussed. People aged 16-years and older are welcome to attend the event.
