R U OK? Day

On Thursday last week, in conjunction with Elam Moranbah and MDSS Moranbah, Isaac Navicare hosted an R U OK? day breakfast for the Moranbah community. The breakfast had a huge turnout and it was encouraging to see locals come together to support each other.

Around 55 members of the community came along, from young to old to enjoy breakfast, as well as members from BMA/BHP and Angelo. The volunteers cooked a whopping 60 eggs and 4 kg of bacon, with lots of coffee supplied by Barista Cliffes coffee van and meaningful conversations, were had with each person who attended.

Asking someone “Are you okay?” could change their life. Not just today but every day. By offering a listening ear and showing genuine care, we can support those who may be struggling in silence. For more information about R U OK Day visit https://www.ruok.org.au/,.
